Client's often ask how I work as an interior decorator. Over the past 15 years, I've refined a seamless, easy-to-follow design process so you can clearly understand each step... Learn more below;




My design process… What to expect when working together

 

Before we begin your project, we start with a ‘’Design Discover Call’’ - an initial conversation over zoom or phone to discuss your space, design goals, and how I can help assist you. This call allows us to determine the best approach for your project and ensures we’re the right fit for working together. 

 

Your project starts with a vision and planning ‘’Meeting at your Home’’ This is an opportunity to connect and share your design wish list. Together we will identify your home’s potential, clarify your project, and create a completed ‘’Scope of Work list’’. You will also ask questions and review my design process. Following our meeting, you’ll receive a detailed Scope of Work and contract for approval, outlining your unique project plan.


Step 1 - Detailed Design and Presentation

During this phase, we develop creative design concepts, collaborate with trade specialists, and source materials and furnishings, including custom elements tailored to you and your home. This all comes together in your design concept presentation, where you’ll review the details, samples, and budget for approval. 

 

Step 2 - Buying and coordinating

Once the design is approved, I manage all the details-from ordering and tracking to receiving, inspecting and coordinating deliveries. I also coordinate any necessary cosmetic or structural work (if applicable) to keep the project on track and ensure seamless process. 

 

Step 3 - Delivery and install day

With procurement and any necessary construction complete, we bring your design to life by installing lighting, wallpaper treatments and finishing etc. The result? A beautifully designed home tailored just for you. Enjoy! 


How I charge my fees as an Interior Decorator… 3 steps

  1. Flat fee - Design Concept and budget.

  2. Flat fee – Procurement, delivery, and coordination with trades and contractors.

  3. Flat fee - Delivery, Install and Style Day.

You’ll know the total investment upfront, allowing us to focus on designing the best space for you and ensuring a seamless and enjoyable design experience.
